Drs. Acree and Brasfield Welcome Dr. Leticia Lindsey to Medical Staff
Drs. Martin Acree and Joyce Brasfield have announced the addition of Leticia Lindsey, MD, to their medical staff. Dr. Lindsey will be working with the medical staff to care for the practice's growing clientele of patients.


MEMPHIS, TN, September 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Drs. Martin Acree and Joyce Brasfield have announced the addition of Leticia Lindsey, MD, to their medical staff. Dr. Lindsey will be working with the medical staff to care for the practice's growing clientele of patients.

According to Dr. Acree, senior partner in the group: "Dr. Lindsey comes to us with an outstanding academic background. She has just completed her residency through the University of Tennessee, and is already adapting well to our group. She is befriending our patients and taking on the role of a teacher in their care."

Originally from Hattiesburg, MS, Dr. Lindsey attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she obtained her B.A. in Foreign Languages and Chemistry. She went on to attend the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, located in Jackson. She completed her residency through the UT / St. Francis Family Practice Residency Program in Memphis.

Dr. Lindsey is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association, Bluff City Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and Delta Sigma Theta sorority. During her internship, she was a recipient of the Golden Apple Teaching Award from the University of Tennessee. This award recognized her as the resident who did the best job in teaching. Dr. Lindsey was the first resident from St. Francis ever to win this award.

Regarding her new position with the practice, Dr. Lindsey says: "I am looking forward to developing a well-rounded practice with patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. I especially enjoy treating diabetes and high blood pressure. I plan to focus my practice on preventing illness, educating my patients, spending quality time with them, and helping them to understand what we are doing."

In her spare time, Dr. Lindsey enjoys swimming, shopping, travelling, and reading.

The practice of Drs. Acree and Brasfield is located at 1325 Eastmoreland #150, in the medical arts building at Methodist University Hospital. The practice treats patients of all ages, and has an established reputation in the Memphis area. Same day appointments are usually available, and the practice is accepting new patients.
