SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 20, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- San Francisco's Dr. Carl Hangee-Bauer, a licensed California Naturopathic Doctor, was elected this quarter as President-elect for the AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) to further the organization's vision of national awareness of naturopathic medicine, outreach, education and increased licensure nationwide for qualified doctors.

GOVERNOR APPOINTEE
Hangee-Bauer, founding doctor of San Francisco Natural Medicine in 1989 was instrumental in achieving the 2003 legislation approving licensure of naturopathic doctors in California, and was subsequently appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine Advisory Council where he served as Chairperson from 2004-2008.

Hangee-Bauer will serve as the President-elect for the AANP during the 2009 calendar year before beginning a two-year term as association President in 2010.
