Clarksville, Tennessee Man Gets to Follow a Dream
Kyle Fleming is getting to follow a dream that he has had since he was a kid, driving in one of NASCAR's top levels. Kyle is 19 years old and has been racing for four years. This opportunity was given to Kyle by Chris Lafferty and Lafferty Motorsports.


    /Tennessee News Articles/ - Ashland City, TN, August 09, 2008 - On July 21, Kyle Fleming, a Clarksville native got the opportunity he had been waiting for his whole life, to test for a NASCAR team. This opportunity of a lifetime was given to him by Chris Lafferty, team owner of Lafferty Motorsports. Lafferty Motorsports is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck team, ARCA Re/Max Series team, and also runs late models and street stocks.

The test session that Kyle had was at the most famous short track in America, Hickory Motor Speedway. This is where a number of the most famous NASCAR drivers have raced at such as Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Ned Jarrett, just to name a few. Kyle, only 19, felt it an honor to not only have a test with a NASCAR team, but to have the opportunity that few have to run at this famed track.

Fleming has raced for three and a half years at Clarksville Speedway. He has over twenty five wins, forty top-fives, voted most popular driver in 2006, along with winning the points championship in the Mini- Modified division in 2006. Having the chance to race in one of NASCAR's top three tiers of racing has been a lifelong dream of Kyle's and now, with the help of Lafferty Motorsports Driver Development Program, Kyle is getting to live that dream.

Team Lafferty would like to have Kyle back out for more test sessions in order to tone his driving skills a little bit more before allowing him to run in some street stock and late model races at Hickory Motor Speedway to gain more seat time. With more seat time and helpful coaching from team owner Chris Lafferty, the ARCA Re/Max and Craftsman Truck Series could be within reach.
