There were many US food recalls during 2007.
Do you know where your food supply is coming from? Do you take the time to look at the labels or ask the butcher how many times your food was frozen before being put out on the shelf?
/Tennessee News Articles/ - NASHVILLE, TN, February 01, 2008 - If you visit http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Fsis_Recalls/Open_Federal_Cases/index.asp you will notice that this long list is just the open cases on recalled food items. Last year we seen items such as lettuce, peanut butter, spinach, pizza's, ground beef, and shrimp from China being recalled and this is just to name a few. Quality of food items should be Americans number one concern in todays world. Our food supply may come from other countrys where their standards are not the same as ours in this country. As a shopper I have noticed for example: King Crab coming from Russia, and other food items coming from overseas as well. American shoppers should be aware of the places their food is coming from. Take the time to look at the labels, find out how many times your food has been frozen or how your food has been shipped. All of these variable plays an important part in your family's overall health.
If you like seafood, where does your seafood come from? After all, it only goes to reason that the coldest waters should harbour the cleanest fish. Alaska offers cold waters for the seafood. There are seafood plants where the seafood goes from the boat, to the processing plant, and directly to your front door. The fish are only flash frozen one time and inspected twice before being shipped. Quality is great with a process like this and offers some of the best tasting Fresh Alaskan Seafood offered.
Just to some it all up for you, you may have to pay a little more for your food but you will know that the quality is superb. Know where your food is coming from and the processes that it takes to get the items to your home. It is in you and your family's best interest.
